Olivia and Michael met at work almost 6 years ago! Over time, they grew closer as friends, bonding over the same extracurricular sports teams, lunch dates, and chatting over work. Eventually, one of Olivia’s friends pointed out how similar they were and how much they enjoyed spending time together. Skeptical at first, Olivia started to see Michael in a new light, and 5 months later, they started dating. Soon into dating, they realized they were meant to be. Michael proposed to Olivia at Half Moon Bay, a location very near and dear to Olivia’s heart. She grew up visiting her grandmother’s house on the beach there. We are so glad we were able to help them celebrate this very special day, bring Olivia’s vision to life, and help her feel confident and beautiful on one of the most important and best days of her life.
How it Started
Michael and Olivia were looking for a venue that offered a rustic ranch but with an elevated feel, providing them with a sense of privacy. The Greengate Ranch and Vineyard gave them just that! From the moment they first saw the Greengate, they knew that this was where they wanted to start their happily ever after. The vineyard also provided a beautiful backdrop for Ashley Ludaescher to capture captivating photos of the love between Olivia and Michael.
Natural Color Palette
They chose a natural color palette and theme that paired beautifully with the aesthetic of the venue. Olivia’s bridesmaids wore a mix of solid blue and stunning patterns from Smith & Quinn. Precious and Blooming provided the most breathtaking white floral arrangements that perfectly complemented the entire look.
When it came to choosing her dress, Olivia described it as “fate.” When the trunk rep at Kleinfeld’s handed Olivia the dress, she was hesitant to try it on. However, the second it was on, she was speechless. The strapless gown featured beautiful floral appliques and truly fit like a glove.
Natural Glam
Olivia requested a natural look for her makeup but with a little more “glam.” Not only did this pair perfectly with the entire aesthetic of the day, it allowed Olivia’s natural beauty to shine through. For her hair, Olivia went with effortless curls that cascaded down her shoulders.
It was the perfect day from beginning to end, and we couldn’t be more honored to be a part of it. We wish Olivia and Michael all the happiness in the world, and we cannot wait to see where their love takes them next!
